So Listen to me used to be linked to my UJR podcast / radio show I did which combined Black gossip, dating and Black British music. I miss those days and there my be more to come in the future. It started back in the noughties with a show in Bed with Chelsea and then we moved to UJR and Black Factor but alas, with Covid we stopped the show.

I really enjoyed highling Black British music old and new. It forced me to go to gigs for artists I normally wouldn’t even have on my radar such as Shaun Escoffery and Ray Blk. I discovered a whole array of young new artists that I wasn’t aware of because, I don’t do radio such as Gloria. I also delved into my old favourites such as Skunk Anansie, Billy Ocean and of course, the show favourite, Roachford.

OK I was going to write about my celibacation but , I’ve just received a podcast of an interview I did.

You can listen here instead. I hardly swore. For me this is like, proper adulting 101 with only a few ‘could do betters’ . It’s not a lecture. Just a conversation with a fellow dating blogger.

The thing with dating is that you go through peaks and troughs. And Covid was one big trough. Some of you braved it out and did walks in the park or, gasp even moved in with people you had barely dated so that you could form a bubble. And it was great to hear those stories of dating success. I treated by flat as a bunker and barely saw friends and family. So, no dating for me during covid.

In sum it’s about my dating journey, use of apps and er, covid I guess as it was done last month.

Enjoy!
