6 Reasons Why You Should Ask Out Your Crush
I recently posted a reel on meta where a guy asks his crush out on a dare. It inspired me to thinking if he could win why couldn’t we? It’s time to take action. Life’s too short for missed opportunities and wondering what could have been.So here are 6 reasons why you should ask out your crush and why it should be now:
- Regret is worse than rejection.
I asked out a dude at university. He said no. I wasn’t feminine enough. I played football and basketball. I was truly gutted as only a 20 year old could be and sulked for AT LEAST 4 days. But also low key it was good to know that he had such limited views on women early,
So I didn’t get the man but I don’t have any regret either. The fear of rejection is nothing compared to the regret of never trying. Imagine running into them years from now, only to find out they were interested too, but neither of you made a move. Even if they say no, at least you’ll know you went for it. Rejection is temporary, but regret? That can haunt you for ages, love. So rip off the band-aid and ask them out!
Oh I just looked him up on social media and, no regrets. None. 🙂 - You’ll get clarity, one way or another.
Crushing from afar might feel safe, but it keeps you in limbo. Are they interested? Do they even know you exist? Stop torturing yourself with questions! By asking them out, you either open the door to something beautiful or get the closure you need to move on. Win-win!
The risk here is if you are friendzoned or the friendship is ruined but they weren’t really a friend if your feelings are a blocker to you guys hanging out.
- Confidence is attractive.
Newsflash: people love someone who knows what they want and goes after it. By asking your crush out, you’re showing them that you’re confident, bold, and not afraid to take risks. That’s an attractive quality, darling. Whether they say yes or no, they’ll be impressed by your guts. And who knows? That courage might spark something unexpected!
- Life is too short to wait.
We always think we have more time. “I’ll do it next week.” “Maybe I’ll wait for the perfect moment.” Spoiler alert: there’s no such thing as a perfect moment. Life is happening now, so stop putting things off. Time waits for no one, and neither should you.
I remember a number of people dying suddenly in the pandemic and a lot of regret from those that had been waiting on the sidelines.
- You deserve to know.
You deserve to be with someone who sees you, appreciates you, and feels the same way. If your crush isn’t that person, why waste your precious energy daydreaming about something that isn’t meant to be? By asking them out, you’ll either take a step toward something real, or free yourself to find someone who’s just as into you as you are into them. Either way, you win. - They might be waiting for you to make the first move.
Let’s not forget that your crush could be just as nervous as you are! They might think you’re the one out of their league, or they might be too shy to make the first move. By asking them out, you could be breaking the ice and giving both of you the green light to explore something exciting.
The problem is that if they are insecure you may need to convince them that this isn’t a joke. I’d go with it’s better to reassure a partner than it is to try to convince a crush?
So, stop overthinking, stop waiting for signs from the universe, and just go for it. The worst that can happen? They say no. The best? You might just get the romance you’ve been dreaming of. Either way, darling, you’ll be proud of yourself for being brave. Take a leap of faith
Disclaimer: If they’re an Air sign don’t expect a straight answer or an answer straight away. They’re rubbish at this. Now go on and shoot your shot!
